BETWEEN THE SKY AND THE SEA

Many of my works are inspired by my niece, Amanda. In her, I find a gaze that observes, analyzes, and discovers the world as if it were all new; a gaze in which I often recognize myself.

This piece arises from that same curiosity: from exploring Kaş and Turkey, from gazing at the horizon with a child's eyes and discovering, in the midst of a journey that began without knowing where it would end, a new place to call home. The little navigator represents that part of me that continues to move forward with wonder, guided by curiosity and the certainty that discovering the world can also mean discovering where we belong.
