THE FRAGILITY OF CARE

This work was born as a tribute to those who, after the fires in Colombia, extended their hands to care for and protect the affected animals.

The hummingbird, small and vulnerable, rests in the hands that hold it. In that gesture, I find an image of the fragility of life and our responsibility to protect it. The hands do not imprison: they accompany, hold, and offer refuge.

The fragility of care speaks of tenderness as a form of action. Of those anonymous hands that, faced with destruction, choose to care. Because sometimes saving doesn't mean doing something enormous, but rather gently holding that which can still fly again.
