Deep within our roots dwell the true protectors of life: an eternal circle, without beginning or end, where our most precious memories are safeguarded. This canvas depicts a sacred space where harmony and wholeness are achieved when each element finds its primordial order, its right to life, and its absolute respect. In the end, we, the Indigenous peoples, are all of us; we are the continuation of the identity of those who inhabited this territory long before being "discovered."
In this universe, the hummingbird unfolds as a fundamental symbol of freedom. It acts as a guardian of universal balance, reminding us of the subtle and sacred connection that exists between humankind and the natural environment that surrounds us.
A detail to look at closely: I invite you to focus your gaze on the central axis of the composition. Just below the green cluster, a vibrant, glowing heart emerges, seemingly dictating the pulse of the entire rainforest.
Notice also the interplay of reflections between the figures: on the left, a solemn and protective figure with a hummingbird's head; on the right, the luminous and pure smile of the girl tenderly holding the bird in her hands. It is a visual dialogue that reminds us that ancestral legacy is not a thing of the past, but a living force that smiles and beats within new generations.
