Colombia is world-renowned for having some of the best coffee in the world, but the true story of this fruit in our land was not born of abundance, but of a supreme act of survival, dignity, and deep connection to our roots. This work is a profoundly conscious tribute to our ancestral legacy: an homage to the enslaved people who, when dispossessed of their native lands, kept the treasure of life hidden and woven into their hair. Upon crossing the ocean and setting foot on American soil, they sowed those seeds in the earth, transforming the pain of displacement into an indomitable sprout of identity, resistance, and cultural memory.
